Online
Advertising

Online advertising is an important component of a successful digital marketing strategy. There are countless ways to advertise online. Green Hat can help create an advertising strategy that increases your brand and your sales leads.

We have years of experience with Google Ads and social media advertising. While those platforms are the most common, you may choose to create search ads on Yahoo or Bing. The cost will be much lower and you might get a higher return on your investment with smaller platforms. Green Hat can analyze your web traffic to see if some of these platforms might serve you well.

Native Advertising

Native advertising blends in with the platform where it is displayed. This is a less intrusive form of advertising that is used to gain consumer trust. Blog posts, promoted page or post widgets, branded content, and partnership content are all forms of native advertising.

Search Engine Advertising

Also referred to as SEM, search engine marketing are ads that appear within a search engine such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, and many others. SEM relies completely on choosing keywords and phrase that trigger your ads. The ads that show are chosen by the highest bid for the keywords.

Display Advertising

Display ads generally show images or videos. They can appear on websites, blogs, search engines, and various other locations. The goal is to get viewers to click on the ad. Advertisers bid on keywords, demographics, or other factors.

Social Advertising

Social ads show on social media platforms. Facebook ads, Youtube ads, or sponsored content on Instagram are all social ads. The personalization of these platforms allow accurate advertising that pinpoint demographics or personal interests that connect to your product or service.

Remarketing & Retargeting

Remarketing or retargeting ads use data from people who visit your website to show them display ads of the products they viewed on your website on other places they visit on the Internet. These ads will show on other websites or search engines and are a great way to lure customers back to the products they showed interest in.

Google
Ads

While there are dozens of ways to advertise online, Google's search engine gets about 30% of all digital advertising. Since Google gets over 90% of the all Internet searches, it makes sense that it is the chosen platform to advertise on. We think of Google as a search company, but the vast majority of their revenue comes from advertising. Google Ads have become commonplace for anyone doing digital advertising.

Google Ads was formerly called Google Adwords and offers many options for online advertising and digital marketing. Google offers search ads, display ads, video ads, shopping ads, and even ads for app downloads. In the Google search screenshot below, you can see search ads in the red box and display ads in the blue box. Both can be very effective depending on your business and industry. You can choose the outcome you want from your ad. You can get more visitors to your website, receive more calls, direct people to your online store, or just increase your brand. Regardless of your business advertising goals, Google is an excellent strategy.
